We are looking for anglers to come over and help out on the work party's which are taking place from the 18 - 25 February and 25 February - 04 March 2017. In return you will receive a free weeks fishing at the venue, which is home to carp of over 80lb. You will need to make arrangements to get yourself to Gigantica for the work party, but your food package will be provided by us whilst you are there and you are more than welcome to fish the nights whilst you are there.

The main purpose of the work parties is to rebuild some of the swims, tree pruning, snag/weed removal and some track maintenance. So if you have experience in this type of work (particularly if you can operate plant machinery) you would be the ideal person, although that isn't essential.

Whilst February is usually a cold month and can be less prolific on the fish catching front, there is the chance of one of the real whackers making an appearance. The lake has been in excellent winter form this year with many fish being caught. The most significant February capture this year was the mighty Fudgy's at an all-time high of 86lb 8oz from Co's Point. Remember.......it only takes one bite!

In return for your hard work, you will get to spend a week at the fishery free of charge. This year the Road Lake re-opens on the 04 March so you could take your free week staright after the work party, making it a two week trip. The winter feeding programme is sure to have the Road Lake carp on the feed. If you are planning on taking your trip later in the year, you should look to make your booking straight away after the work party whilst there is still some availability.

Anyone interested in joining either of the work party's shoukld contact the Gigantica Fishery Manager, Andy Savage, who will notify successful applicants: andy.savage@gigantica-carp.com
