Welcome back to the first Winter report of 2011.

As with all Winter fishing, there may not be a lot too report some weeks other than heavy frosts and maybe, snow. But for this first week I glad to say there are some fish too report about, hopefully a good omen for the coming weeks.

A strange week for several reasons. 1st, the weather. Unbelieveably warm for the time of year with incredible night time highs and glorious sunshine throughout most of the days has seen the fish VERY active. 2nd, only 2 of the 5 anglers start the week. 2 German anglers fished hard, starting on Alcatraz then intoAlamo but unfortunately without fish.

The 3 other anglers then joined us, from Trakker products and with them some awesome weather.

Darrell Peck, showing us the way with a first night 20+ out of Stink, then the following night, Matt Quibell banked the amazing Repunsal at a new high and a new PB for Matt @ 57.14 !

Not to be out done, I chipped in with the mighty Big Bollox first time over 50 @ 50.08, anothernew 50 for us here at Gigantica.

Even though your allowed to row your hookbaits outnowwith the Winter rules,both big fish were caught within a couple of rod lenghts from the bank.

There will be some amazing big fish out in the weeks too come, lots offish I expect to make 50+ in the coming weeks, and now the Winter rules are here, 4 rods and you can row your hookbaits out, why not join us as theres still some limited spaces available.

Big French fish in the frosts......come on, come join me trying to catch a huge fish in the snow !!
