What an awesome week. This weeks group, having been here before know how too catch and have a fantastic time along the way.
Having been here before is clearly a huge edge as you arrive with a basic plan of knowing exactly what your trying to achieve. Although, generally, a year has past, knowing the swims and understanding the catch reports gives you an insight prior to arriving.
Unfortunately, a few of the guys failed to make the score sheet, not the best but the fish here are very particular on what they will or wont eat and trying to buck the trend can reflect there taste in the form of a blank.
The lads that did catch caught really well.
Pedro,in Alcatraz had 10 ! a steady stream of breakfast time takes helped build his impressive tally, but generally smaller fish. Friday saw Pete with an upper 30 in the net, a 30 in the sling and playing a 20 almost all at once !
Fishing a steady stream of the mighty Mainline New Grange at range, proving successful throughout the week.
Gracey doubled up on Co's with his lover Drew nicked a couple of decent upper 30z then banked the impressive 'two time' @ 51+ A cracking looking fish with a huge frame and a nice dark colour. One for the future.
Michael, in Stink had a cracking start, banking the '43' @ 51+ then a mid 20 then finished the week with another 50. 'Spences' @ 53+ wellspawned out and looking very healthy. A brace of 50z, not a bad week.
H in Alamo, unfortunatelylost a fish early doors but continued to fish well. Although it was a struggle, he finally broke the stalemate and banked the mighty 'Brutus' wellspawned out but again, looking very healthy.
@ 54+was a new PB forH and a fitting end too a weeks fishing where he never gave up.
Lastly, Rumsey, in Oblivion blanked, just wanted to get that in the report so the rest of the lads can give it too him ! lol.
Awesome week, great fun and some fantastic fish as well.
Be safe, be lucky.
