Monsters in paradise.

It's a case of beauty and the beasts this week at Gigantica, and more PB's than you can poke a stick at.

First of the mark was the Bartman.  Barty was tucked away in the Tree Line fishing half way to the dead tree with KD style rigs and one of our Hybrid wafters as hook bait.  Then Fred decided to do a rig check, 51lb 4oz surely one of Fairbrass's best looking fish  and a fish Mike dreams of was in Barty's net, Mike was so pleased.

Our Austrian Korda boys were next to get amongst the fish , whatever "get in the net " in Austrian could be heard in the stillness of the pond.  Michael had a huge 68lb PB in the form of Spence's.  A fish that has gained 17lb since June, spawned out at 51lb.  She looked fantastic in her autumn colours.  26 wraps out of The Beach towards the right of Alamo on a very European 22mm bait fished combi rig style. 

Let us have another PB, his first of three in one week at Gigantica.  The very greedy Albin, another of our Austrian crew.  Firstly he had the Giggler at 57lb 8oz and this was PB number one, this was doubled up with a very nice 38lb common as well.  These where both at the longer spot out of Co's point at 28RL.   With bait being introduced to the 17RL spot that we call “Fudgy’s kitchen” from the start of the week Albin decided to move his rods to this area, as no more fish were seen on the long spot and it didn’t take long for Fudgys to have a guest round for dinner.  Albin made the most of this and banked Pips, weighing in at 59lb 6oz, his second PB of the trip.  Then things were really about to heat up and at first light on Saturday morning whilst packing up, the spot lived up to its name and laying in the net was the incredible Fudgys.  Hoping that she was back up to size and pushing for the eight-O boundary after an extremely good spawn this year.  We were all over the moon when the needle swung round and settled on 80lb 4oz, completing Albins hat-trick of PB’s during the week.

Another PB was had this week at Gigantica, this time for Steve fishing in Alcatraz fishing effectively at the 20RL spot baiting up with Vale Baits, he landed The Clown weighing in at 56lb 8oz.  He found his area then baited it lightly and his patience was then rewarded on Friday morning.

Another gigantic week at Gigantica, a collective thanks from Barty to the guys this week for your help on the Road Lake .
