Week Commencing: Sat 30/05/2015
A week of familiar faces this week with 5 returning anglers and 3 new faces.
With the draw and rules finished everyone settled down for the first nights fishing.
Sunday brought a warm day with the threat of storms in the night and that evening at 20:30 Lee Fitzgerald who was fishing in The Tree Line landed Black Eye at a spawned out weight of 35lb 8oz on a single Banoffee wafter on a ready tied IQ D rig with a few boilies spread around in the second gap along the tree line.
That evening the rain started and didn’t finish until 8.30am on Monday morning.
On Tuesday morning Gigantica bailiff Buzz was fishing Co’s Point and landed a handsome 32lb mirror on a short chod rig using an IB pop up as a hook bait with tiger nuts and 10kg of our new Spicy Active as free offerings at 30 wraps straight out in front.
The temperatures steadily warmed up all week topping out on Friday where daytime temperatures hit 37 degrees. And at 11 o’clock that night it was still 27 degrees.
