Sascha and The Clean Fish!

With Autumn slowly turning to winter the trees surrounding the lake are shedding their final leaves and the carp activity is starting to slow down, but with new fish introduced this always keeps the other fish feeding hard, so lets see what happens!!

First off with have Sascha Besgen who went into Oblivion for the week and decided to fish all 3 rods at 20 wraps towards Bobs Beach, fishing simple knotless knots with his big 24mm bottom baits he lost a fish within an hour of getting the rods out! Baiting with the throwing stick and spomb with big boilies and some hemp and maize he went on to land a new P.B and one of the real cool ones, “The Clean Fish” at a top weight of 63lb!! Well done mate, Sascha also managed to bag a 40lb stockie on the last morning…great angling dude!

Next up we have Sam Caton who after a nightmare journey popped himself into Big Southerly for the week, deciding to fish 3 rods all on different spots, 1 at 14 wraps towards the Alamo, 15 wraps towards the lodge and a long rod at 25.5 wraps to the left side of Alamo, all 3 spots produced fish for Sam going on to land “Soliid” at 56lb from the marker pole on a solid bag with a fake corn hookbait and “Bitemark” at 40lb from the 14 wrap spot also on a solid bag. Sam baited these spots lightly with 2/3 spombs per day of corn, chops, crumb and plenty of liquids. The long rod produced 3 stockies for the week fishing a spinner rig with 2 bits of pop up corn. Well in Sam!
