Sub Zero!
This week we saw eight anglers stick it out through the freezing cold! North Easterly winds made it very unbearable to stand outside for longer than 10 minutes and this had a massive impact on the fishing! Very little to report, with only two of the new stokies making a appearance to Gary Benny on Co’s Point both being 15lb. Garry was fishing 31 wraps to the left of the flat oak and feeding sweetcorn, flaked maize and crushed boilie with yellow spinners over the top.
The water temperature at the moment is only 6 degrees but at the back end of next week it looks like we have some more south westerly winds coming with some warmer weather, hopefully this will warm the water that couple of degrees to get the fish on the move and feeding. We are about to enter February and with the nights starting to draw out, spring isn’t a million miles away!
Saying that Fudges was caught around this time last year! Who’s the next lucky angler?
Until Next time
