Week Commencing: Sat 25/02/2023

Saved By Very Few!

The anglers this week faced a very tough week with freezing cold temperatures, big North Easterly’s winds blowing white caps across the lake and with it being -4 with a wind chill of -8 at the start of the week it look pretty bleak out there, but they stuck it out and two of the eight anglers were lucky to catch.

We will start of with Dan Coles in Alcatraz this guy fished his heart out all week and it paid off with him landing 4 fish in the last two days. A fish called Dawson being the biggest at 36lb 10oz and he caught this fish on the final morning just 15 minutes before he had to reel in. As they say its not over until the fat lady sings. Dan was fishing at 33 wraps towards the orange bough just to the right of Big southerly. Spinners with yellow isotonic’s done him the bites over a bed of crushed boilie and corn.

Then we had Lee Terry AKA Eco Fuel fishing out of Pole Position , Lee managed to angle one out on his first night, fishing 28 wraps towards Stink. A fished he named Eco-Fuel at 26lb 8oz. unlucky for Lee that was the only fish he caught all week but still he done very well to catch that one. Fishing combi rigs with two peace’s of maize got him the bite over crushed boilie and corn.

That’s all to report this week but we have now entered March so hopefully we will be knocking on the door of some warmer weather soon!
