Week Commencing: Sat 04/03/2023

Hold on to your hats!! 

It’s been a real testing week with the fishing being hard and then getting battered by the winds! Seeing white water ripping across the lake and smashing into Alamo! The weather played a big part, and it defiantly affected the fishing with minus at night at the beginning of the week. 

Start off we have Tim in Cos Point, fishing at 28 wraps to keep things comfortable with the weather to come. Tim landed 3 fish up to 47lb 8oz “Mooney”. Tim fished D rigs with wafter catching on pink almond and yellow pineapples. Baiting with 5kg throughout the days with a mixture of hemp, maize,corn and manilla boilie crumb. 

For the rest of the lake there was 2 stockies caught, one out of beach by Jerry at 29 wraps on a snowman and the other out of Big Southerly by Darren on a solid bag at 21 wraps fished as a single due to not being able to get bait out there! 

Half the anglers went home on Friday due to not wanting to put up with the weather for the final night! And cut there losses but left happy, it was a great week and the lads got to eat well and had a great time. It’s not always about the catching especially during these difficult winter months and you just must make the most of your week!
