Up The Jupiler!!
This week I had the the pleasure of welcoming a lake exclusive booking from Belgium. The lads was 1st time visiting the big G after booking the trip 2 years ago, they all fished a club water together back home so as you can imagine plenty of ‘ Jupiler ‘ was drank.
Kicking the week off with the biggest fish from Matthias in Pole Position. Matthias fished out on the long spot heading for Stinkon the swims boundary at 33 wraps all week to a nice clear area in front of a large weed bed, using Mainline Cell and House Mix Particle baiting with 30 spombs each day just being evening meal. It was just the one fish for Matthias ‘ Classico’ at 62lb and she looked mega! He was using Blowback Rig with a Cell Waftertipped with IB SSM soaked in Isotonic Goo witch is a winner this time of year.
Next up we have the group organiser Kevin Dhontfishing from Co’s Point. Kevin settled on 28.5 wrapsaiming at the old tits, it was Stockie patrol this week for Kevin and he was soon into double figures off 20lbers landed, half way through the week he was finally rewarded with ‘The Koi’ at 61lb 14oz. Kevin was getting his bait out at 1st light and then topping his spots up consistently throughout each day and this seemed to bring the bites on for him. He mix was yet again Mainline Cell that is a true winner on the Main lake in the winter months mixed with tinned Sweetcornthat we sell here on site and then rig off choice was the IQ-D Rig with 20lb IQ2 with a size 4 Kurv with 2 grains of Korda IB SSM soaked in Pineapple & Isotonic Goo weeks leading up to the trip. Kevin finished his week on 20 fish.
Last up we have Kris Verstraeten in The Stink. Kris started the week fishing a range he was comfortable fishing planning ahead off the strong winds that was coming our way, so it was 26 wraps to the right hand side off Baxter’s for Kris and it was just the one fish for him this week and that was ‘Squeaky Clean’ looking nice and dark at 44lb. Kris again was using Mainline Cell and House Maize we cook here on site and then boosting it up with Cell Stick Mix Liquid and Smart liquids. Kris was using Blowback rig with an extra-long hair with 2 Cell out the bag boilies with a Korda IB SSM topper. Kris got through 20kg off bait through this week just baiting up with 25 spombs each day.
That’s another week over and out and it was a really challenging week with the weathers changes being so drastic off a night time but they all kept smiling and drank plenty of beer so they all went home happy.
But for now all the best,
Joe
