Happy Christmas!!

Eight anglers joined us for Christmas, and it turned out to be a very tough week, only three anglers managed to catch but we still had a good time with plenty of laughs and a nice beef wellington for Christmas dinner!!

First of we have Darko in Co’s Point, darko managed a few throught the week with the biggest being 40lb. it was very tough to get things going in the swim but still managed a few bites. Darko was fishing 30 wraps towards the flat oak feeding crushed boilie corn and flake maize. Snowmen on combi rigs over the top. 

Then we have chris in Big Girls chris was the first to catch for the week with a lovely 33lb old original mirror. He sadly only manged the one for the week but it just goes to prove the corners are still doing fish! Chris was fishing 26 wtaps towards the spit feeding maize and boilie by hand, spinners with fake maize over the top. 

Myself I came out 5^th in the draw and manged to land in my 3^rdchoice of swim “Pole”. Started with a game plan of fishing 33 wraps and had no plan of changing unless seeing them elsewhere. The first night I applied 70 spombs of crushed boilie, hemp, flake maize and corn to no joy. The second night I opted to feed 20-30 spombs of just sweetcorn and this produced me a fish the following morning and my biggest fish of the week “The Unattended” at 51lb 12oz. I hit the repeat bottom for the rest of the week and I managed to land a total of 6 fish for the week. I fished a 4.5inch spinner with a little 12mm yellow Gigantica special over the top.

Tricky week for all and not the Christmas gift we all desired. Slightly warmer weather coming next week so fingers crossed for a new year super beast!
