1 2 3 4 I Love Marine Core!!!
Funny old week this week, started of flying with two thirds of the anglers on site catching fish on the first night. I really thought they were going to get their heads down after a good bit of spawning. But it ended just as fast as it started, i would say they had another go at spawning but this time in deep water. But it did get better towards the back end of the week.
First off we have WeeMan, WeeMan's no newbe to Gigantica and always seems to produce the goods when here. WeeMan came out midway in the draw and opted to fish in Stock Pond knowing this to be the flyer so far this year, he was rarther excited to be in this swim. With loosing one on the first night it would of been to easy to drop his head but he stood "TALL"! Weeman kept working at his swim and even cutting a new gape in the treeline where he found a new so spot so he could bait easily (obviously clarifing with the bailiffs first). Weeman managed to get things going in the swim and ended on a total of seven fish with the biggest being "Shoulders" at 68lb and what a carp! He caught a few other nice ones like Shmokin', Moonscale just to name a couple. Weeman opted to fish three spots along the treeline with all of them producing, 9 wraps hard right to a gap, 17 wraps half way up to a new gap he made and 27 wraps to the far corner. Blow back rigs with with serperated bottom baits with long hairs done him his bites, feeding just whole boilie.
Next up we have first time customer Mark Mayhew, Mark spent two years trying his hardest to get on and his time finally arrived and he managed to get the lord of the manors swim, Co's Point. After having a chat with the bailiffs he decided to start off short at 12 wraps but feed long at 26 wraps. This worked well for Mark because on his first morning he was rewarded with a new p.b Equalled at 49lb 8oz, job done some would say. Mark went on to fish throught the week with not much joy but he did manage to finish off with a fish called Haribo at 38lb 8oz. Mark was fishing Blow Back D-Rigs with fake pink maize, feeding house pellet and CC More boilies.
Andy Norris started of very well in Baxters, Fisrt night, 40lb mirror in the name of Your Old Girl. Andy was fishing a couple of spots in this swim hard right at 12 wraps where he managed to catch the fish from and to the left at 25 wraps towards the red and white tower. Andy did manage to catch another couple of small stockies throught the week bu that was all for him. the weather got extreamly hot and being in the deepest part of the lake maybe didnt help him but still done well to catch a few. Bait and rig wise Andy was fishing with spinners and feding house pellet with a Mixture of CC More Boilies.
Shane Hull the spag bol loving, fussy, Moaning Myrtal managed to land himself ball one and done something that serprised me, he went in Treeline. But this is the norm for shane he loves a short range swim and a corner and always seems to de well when hes here. Although he was the last to catch Fudgies "im not Pointing any finggers"! Shane managed to catch a total of 7 fish with the biggest being Ucle G at 37lb 12oz. he started off fedding heavy but pulled way back on the baiting and worked out they were more keen on the little and often approuch. 21 wrpas to the go to gap in the treeline got him most of his fish but he did manage one or two a bit closer down the treeline. Spinners and wafters and feeding a mixture of everything from house pellet, maize, hemp and boilie.
With a bit of the luck the spawning has stopped, they all do look very empty at the moment but good times are due ahead! Let the feeding comence!
Until Next Time
