Week Commencing: Sat 08/02/2025
Last knockings
So, this week we only had 5 visitors on the Main Lake, leaving plenty of room around the lake. Tough conditions with the weather change made it a difficult week for those on.
First up we have Colin Reed who got the magic ball number 1 in the draw and after previous successful trips, decided to jump straight into Co’s Point. Opting to fish two spots, Colin fished 30 wraps straight out towards the tits and had one similar range towards the flat oak. With the fish seeming to be holding out in the middle, it was a long week watching them show beyond peoples range in “no man’s land” and after losing one midweek, Colin kept his head after seeing people lose theirs in the past and being confident in what he was doing and knowing he was doing it right, just kept at it the whole week and it wasn’t until the last morning the lake saw its first bit of action when Colin managed to land 4 fish with the biggest being ‘MK’ at 37lb 7oz followed by ‘Ripper’ at 29lb 12oz, ‘Archimedes’ at 35lb 12oz and ‘BBC’ at 28lb 6oz. Colin was fishing 3 spinner rigs with double slow sinking IB maize, baiting up with a mixture of corn, Cell boilie crumb and house hemp. That’s all for this week and just proves sometimes you can be doing everything right and they just haven’t visited you yet.
Roll on next week,
Tight Lines.
