POLE POSITION
One of the first swims you see as you enter the Main Lake, and so called because it commands a fair amount of open water. It can be fished as close or as far out as you like. A comfortable swim which is located next to the club house and facilities.
Prevailing Wind | Easterlies, NE come straight across the lake at you. |

Hot Areas
In 2018, from 24 to 28 RL straight at “The Stink” produced the majority of the fish in this swim. 14 to 16 wraps left of Stink, also worth a single rod for a 'biggun'.
Description
Although it is one of the open water swims, it has been fished at all ranges from medium to very long. The best way to fish Pole is to go at least as far out as the angler next door in Alcatraz. If you fish short of where Alcatraz is putting in bait, the fish tend to come to that baited area first.
Notable Captures
This swim is a consistent allrounder which usually produces a chance or two each week. A seven fish haul in August 2018 to Tobias Ward proved the theory of fishing just beyond Alcatraz works well. Robert’s Fish, The Clean Fish and Baby Cluster were the pick of the big fish captures in 2018.
